I remember hearing over and over again how bad this was when it first came out. The people saying that obviously missed Paul Schneider and his awesome pork chop sideburns. Seriously though, this thing sucked. It was just weirdly bad. Half the time I didn’t even know what I was watching. Where was this movie going and what did it want to be? What was with that big speech by Susan Sarandon? What was everybody laughing at?! That might have been the worst thing I’ve ever seen in a movie. Thank God that Orlando Bloom as a leading man thing didn’t stick. How can someone so pretty be so boring to watch on screen? Dunst is Dunst. I generally have a crush on her when she’s being cutesy, so I didn’t mind her here. She’s scripted to say some stupid stuff though. And with an inconsistent accent. Okay, so maybe I did mind her. Yeah, this movie sucked bad. It just kept going. Shame on you Cameron Crowe.
